Family First Health

During the late 1960’s, a group of concerned citizens came together to open a community health center for the underserved of York City, resulting in Family First Health opening its doors in 1970 to the York Community. Having received initial federal funding from a movement started by H. Jack Geiger (physician and civil rights activist), Family First Health pioneered an effective method for approaching health care in underserved communities by addressing the roots of illness drawn from community concerns.

Family First Health, a federally qualified health center (FQHC) understands that not every individual or community shares the same needs.
